Jigga Man’s Made in America Festival in 2023 has been formally postponed, with the organizers blaming “severe circumstances outside of production control.”

The festival made its star-studded roster announcement back in June, and the annual event is scheduled to take over Philadelphia’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway from September 2–3 for Labor Day Weekend.

In addition to Ma$e and Cam’ron, other performers like as Lizzo, SZA, Ice Spice, Metro Boomin, Coi Leray, Lil Yachty, Latto, Doechii, Lola Brooke, Tems, Miguel, and others were also scheduled to perform.

On Tuesday (August 8), festival organizers informed guests of the “difficult” choice in a statement posted to social media.

Made in America Festival 2023 Shut Down

“Due to severe circumstances outside of production control, the 2023 Made In America festival will no longer be taking place. This decision has been difficult and has not been made lightly nor without immense deliberation. Made In America has a legacy of delivering exceptional experiences for music fans and concert goers and it is our commitment to always deliver a top-tier festival experience,” read the statement.

“We look forward to returning to Benjamin Franklin Parkway and the great city of Philadelphia in 2024. All ticket holders will be refunded at original point of purchase.”

The festival was slated to be a major turning point for Ma$e and Killa Cam, who last summer successfully put an end to their bitter spat that had been going on since the latter moved from New York City to Atlanta in the late ’90s.

Following a temporary pause in 2020 due to the epidemic, Made In America 2022 marks the event’s eighth year. Jay-Z founded it in 2012 as a way to bring together musicians from many genres who “embody the American spirit.”
