F. Gary Gary’s 1996 breakout movie, Set It Off is coming to life as a stage play and making its way throughout the country. The film was adapted for the stage by writer/director/producer Je’Caryous Johnson, who previously produced the hit Snoop Dogg Musical, Redemption of a Dogg, and the stage adaptation of the romantic comedy Two Can Play That Game. The Set It Off Stage Play will begin touring this February, hitting several cities including Houston, Philadelphia and Chicago.

The Set It Off Stage Play originally premiered in Atlanta in 2018.  The production featured Da Brat, LeToya Luckett, Kyla Pratt and Demetria McKinney.  The tour version of the play still featured Chicago emcee Da Brat, but the other key roles are filled by Lil Mo, Drew Sidora and Keshia Knight Pulliam.  Legendary actor, Leon also stars.
