Soul singer, thoughtful songwriter and the self proclaimed Prince of R&B, Calvin Richardson is back with his 8th studio album, Gold Dust.  The album comes after Calvin completely lost his voice in 2018, having to take weeks off to mend his vocal cords to even be able to record the project.  The Calvin Richardson Gold Dust album was released on October 25th via Shanachie Entertainment.

The album follow’s up Calvin’s 2017 release, All Or Nothing, released with the same label. It also marks the 20th anniversary of Calvin Richardson as a solo artist.  His debut album, Country Boy was released back in 1999.

The first single from the album is titled, “Let Me Love On You.” In a recent interview with parlemag, Calvin described the track saying, the “song is composed of what I feel is the number one ingredient to making any relationship work; actions of love. Loving on someone, anyone, is a powerful thing.

As for the album title, Calvin explained, “they say pressure burst pipes, but I said to myself that if this pipe burst, it will be filled with Gold-Dust (good music). Thus came the title.”
