Steve Harvey’s Wife’s Ex-Husband Releasing Tell-All About Their Relationship + Involvement in Drug Ring
Steve Harvey’s wife, Marjorie Harvey, just might have a major problem on her hands.
The 54-year-old’s ex-husband, Jim Townsend, has written a tell-all memoir, and he plans to tell us all about their tumultuous marriage and the tainted money within it.
Jim Townsend, a 70-year-old used-to-be drug lord, was recently released from prison, after serving 26 years of a life sentence, due to being granted a pardon by former president Barack Obama. He was originally locked up for attempting to purchase 40 kilos of cocaine.
According to Radar Online, while being married to the kingpin, in the early ’90s, Harvey was under investigation by the FBI and DEA, who suspected that she may have played a part in Townsend’s ring of narcotics.
Though Harvey was never charged with any crime, the agencies claimed that they had “substantial evidence of [Harvey’s own legal activities], and Townsend recounted being threatened that his then-wife would be arrested.
Ultimately, Townsend ended up behind bars and he and Harvey were together no longer than five years after that. However, it was during his time in the pen that he began writing his novel, he said.
Townsend also revealed that he had some apprehensions about releasing the book, but he has since decided to move forward with publishing the project and doesn’t care how Harvey feels about it.
“I have no allegiance to Marjorie Harvey. She showed me her hand,” he blatantly expressed to RO. “I’m going [to] tell my story. It doesn’t matter.”
He then went on to say, “I’m pouring my heart out. No one knows what happened but me and Marjorie.”
As of a now, a title or a date for the work is unknown, but we’re sure that more details will be coming soon.
Meanwhile, Marjorie Harvey seems to be living her best life, grinning and grilling.
