Since retiring from the music, Joe Budden has been making noise as a media personality, and it is paying off. The podcast host has entered into a partnership with Spotify to bring his podcast to their platform.

The news of joining Spotify came on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, when he announced it on his weekly show The Joe Budden Podcast. Starting September 12th, The Joe Budden Podcast will be exclusively released on Wednesdays and Saturdays through Spotify. Besides Youtube (videos will be released two days after the audio), other platforms will not be able to stream Joe’s podcast.

In a recent article in The New York Times, Budden told the reporter that he joined Spotify because “they were not afraid of him.”

Mr. “Pump It Up” is the host of the weekly The Joe Budden podcast.  The podcast includes Joe and two co-hosts, Rory and Mal, as they talk about what is currently happening in the music industry. The podcast started in 2015 as I’ll Name This Podcast Later before switching its name. An episode is dropped every Wednesday morning for consumption of the ears, and a visual of the recorded episode is released a day after.

Joe Budden retired from rap in 2016; not seeing the music or the music industry as any fun no more. Since then he has been taking media quite serious. In 2017 he joined the staff at Complex Media for the show Everyday Struggle along with DJ Akademiks. The show was an instant hit that garnished viral moments such as Joe yelling at Lil Yachty and Joe walking off on the Migos at the 2017 BET Awards. Yet, somehow that job at Complex did not last long and Joe ended up leaving Complex because he felt undervalued at that location.

In addition to taking his podcast talents to Spotify, Joe budden also has a new show coming to Revolt TV. The new show called State of the Culture will have debates and interviews as well as deep dives of what is happening in the culture. Joe also has a web series called The Pull-Up on his Youtube channel.

Joe Budden is also reportedly returning as a cast member for the upcoming 9th season of Love & Hip-Hop: New York.

Be on the lookout for more from rapper turned successful media personality, Joe Budden.
