City Girls, a buzzing rap duo hailing from Miami, known individually as J.T. and Yung Miami have burst onto the scene and become mainstream with their appearance in Drake’s “In My Feelings” music video. Now the new duo wants to make their presence to be felt globally with a new City Girls documentary titled, Point Blank Period.

Before Drake’s video the young duo were featured on the Quality Control: Control the Streets Volume 1 project that featured high profile features like Migos, Cardi B, Gucci Mane, and more.  They also released their debut on Quality Control, titled Period.

Unfortunately the City Girls may have to wait a while to get on a run because of the 2 year bid in jail for member J.T. because of credit fraud. She was out on bond, giving her enough time to launch her music career to a much needed height. She is expecting to come out of prison on March 21, 2020.

The trailer for Point Blank Period is brought to you by rapper Nas’s label Mass Appeal.

Make sure you check out the preview of the documentary. A release date for the documentary has not been set yet so make sure you also keep an eye on that and watch the trailer below:

Synopsis
Set to premiere later this month, and directed by Marcus Clarke, the documentary Point Blank Period follows Quality Control’s newly signed artists as they break into a predominantly male-dominated industry with their debut album. Exclusive interviews with City Girls’ Yung Miami and J.T., as well as industry trailblazers Trina, Kevin “Coach K” Lee and Pierre “Pee” Thomas, expose the complicated road to breaking female artists in the changing music landscape. The City Girls documentary covers their struggle to the top as Quality Control’s first female artists and how they plan on coming back stronger than ever after surviving the incarceration of one half of the duo at such a pivotal moment in their career.

The City Girls also revealed the music video for their most recent single, “Period”.  Check it out below:
