Usher Raymond and Grace Miguel Have Officially Split, Only Two Years After Tying the Knot

It’s always a sad occasion to see some of your favorite celebrity couples part ways. Just a couple of weeks ago, we learned that Tisha Campbell-Martin and her husband, Duane Martin, were getting a divorce after well over twenty years of marriage, which certainly came as a shocker to most. As if that wasn’t enough, it has now been revealed that singer-songwriter Usher Raymond, 39, and his longtime partner, Grace Miguel, 48, are the latest to be heading down the road to divorce.

If you don’t know, Usher Raymond and Grace Miguel have nearly ten years together under their belt, with two of those years married. The duo began dating shortly after Raymond’s 2009 separation from his former wife and personal stylist, Tameka Foster, whom he shares two sons with: Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely Raymond.

It was reported that Raymond and Miguel secretly tied the knot in 2015, and they even honeymooned in Cuba. However, for these once lovebirds, the honeymoon phase seems to be far over. At least, for now.

Yesterday, USWeekly exclusively broke the heartbreaking news that the estranged couple had officially called it quits and announced it to the publication on Tuesday.

“After much thought and consideration, we have mutually decided to separate as a couple,” the item said in a joint statement. “We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward.”

Although their split is just now being made public, Raymond and Miguel have allegedly been apart for a couple of months. As for what led to the sudden decision to say their final goodbyes to each other, we’re not exactly sure of that yet.

According to theJasmineBRAND, it is rumored that the two had been in a “negative place” over the past year, and while Miguel, who already has two teenage children of her own, favored the idea of having a child with Raymond, he wasn’t necessarily open to it.

But, many are wondering if Raymond’s herpes fiasco could have played a factor in the breakup. Dealing with the aftermath of something like that, especially in the public eye, is bound to get exhausting, strenuous… embarrassing even.

In July of last year, TMZ ran a story about the 39-year-old “U Got It Bad” crooner supposedly infecting one of his previous sex partners with the herpes virus and basically paying the woman a large amount of cash to keep quiet. Not long after, more “victims” came forth, alleging that they had also been infected by him.

However, Jermaine Dupri, a close friend of Raymond’s, confirmed on The Breakfast Club that Raymond is, in fact, herpes free.

As it stands now, both Usher Raymond and Grace Miguel, who is also the Atlanta-raised entertainer’s manager, have yet to address the status of their marriage publicly.

We’re hoping everything works out for the better.
