26 year-old Christian rapper Benxiah aka “The Lifestyle Lyricist” has had a tough life. From navigating the streets to having to bear the annual tradition of burying childhood friends due to the consequences of gang life, its been traumatic to say thr least. Benxiah is lucky to be alive himself, but he realizes that he’s still here because of the grace of God. As such, he is going to fulfill God’s plan and share his story and his passion for God through his music.
Inspired by Kirk Franklin’s “Silver & Gold” to accept to accept Jesus the Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, and eventually make Christian inspired raps.
Born and bred in Victoria, Texas, Benxiah has been able to turn his life around. He’s now married with 2 children and one on the way. A family man, to say the least. His past is still part of his story however, and it has led to a diagnosis of PTSD by doctors due to his past life involving drugs, gangs and violence.
Benxiah is ready to share his story and his testimony with this debut single, aptly titled, “PTSD”. Listen Below:
