Because of her fear of going solo, “The Real” co-host Adrienne Houghton hasn’t stepped back in the music scene since The Cheetah Girls and 3WL. Afraid that her voice wouldn’t be powerful enough or even grab attention, she held off on a solo album she said she was going to put out five years ago. But recently on Instagram, she surprised us all and announced her solo Christmas album New Tradiciones ( New Traditions), an album celebrating Latin culture and all sales will go towards rebuilding Puerto Rico.
Houghton wrote on her instagram: “I can’t believe it… it’s finally here… My Christmas Album! NEW TRADICIONES! (New Traditions) My heart is so beyond full… i shared with you all a while back my fear of singing & because of YOUR words of love & encouragement… I DID IT! I thank you with all of my heart. This is for YOU! We recorded this entire album in our home with our familia & all the musicians & producers that became familia during the process!”
Since this is her first solo album, she wanted her fans to listen to how her Christmas was growing up. In addition to her album, she also has her nieces singing on it, giving it a more “homey” touch. “New Tradiciones” is now available everywhere.
