Beyoncé had to let people know she still has it when she jumped on the remix to Mi Gente by J Balvin and Willy Williams.

“Mi Gente”, a reggaeton song that was number 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 before Beyoncé magic launched it into the 3 spot. The singer flexes her Spanish skills as she sings on this track along with the reggaeton artists. This marks the 17th Beyoncé song to break into the Hot 100. The last song came from her latest album Lemonade with the track “Formation.” It is still too young to say if it is going to last at that height or excel to the top of the charts.

Beyoncé had been on a break from the music since she announced her pregnancy.  “Mi Gente” was her return after giving birth to twins, Rumi and Sir Carter, in the summer. With this release it let’s you know the recording artist is ready to give the people new music. Recently she took to her instagram page to celebrate the 15 year anniversary of “03 Bonnie & Clyde.”

I can’t believe its been 15years since Bonnie and Clyde ?? You ready ???? Lets go get em❤????

The Number 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 is held by Bronx’s own, Cardi B with her hit song “Bodak Yellow”. The reflects on her past and how she has worked hard to get to the spot she is now. This marks the first female rapstar to make it to the 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 since 1998 with Lauryn Hill’s “Doo Wop.” The song has been on the charts for 14 weeks and has spent 3 weeks at number 1.

The second spot on the Billboard Hot 100 is held by Post Malone with his song “Rockstar” featuring 21 Savage. Both rappers give you insight on life as a successful rapper living the dream with making references to a couple of rockstars. They both switch flows in the middle of their verses as well.
