Meet Beauty Mogul, Keyshia Ka’oir, Also Known As Gucci Mane’s Wife
You may know her as Gucci Mane’s wife; however, this woman is a woman who many aspire to be like. Her name is Keyshia Ka’oir, a model, entrepreneur, and successful CEO who has stopped at nothing to constantly work and effectively build her brand. Keyshia’s journey in the entertainment industry has spanned over eight years or more, going from styling the stars to becoming a star, herself, in a plethora of music videos for artists, such as 2 Chainz, Ace Hood, Yo Gotti, Drake, Lil’ Wayne, and, of course, Gucci Mane. From video girl to boss chick, Keyshia Ka’oir has diligently paved her way to the top, using her money-making expertise to craft a million-dollar business.
Formerly known as ‘Keyshia Dior’, the Jamaican-rooted mogul started out as a Miami-based celebrity stylist. As she grew her clientele, it wasn’t long before Keyshia’s name became well-known around the city of Miami. With a passionate love for fashion, her edgy look made her stand out, even more, eventually taking her from behind the scenes to on the scene. Directed by Paul Coy Allen, Keyshia was cast for the starring role of ‘Lisa’ in Timbaland and Drake’s 2009 mini-movie/music video, “Say Something”. From there, things only transcended for her.
Appearing on the covers of the hottest national magazines and even being named XXL Magazine’s 2010 ‘Model of the Year’, Keyshia was growing into a bonafide triple threat on the modeling front. However, her dreams ran much deeper than the flashing lights and green screens. Honing her trendsetting skills as she navigated throughout the industry, in 2011, Keyshia then took her knowledge and put it into building her own cosmetics line, KA’OIR Cosmetics, from the ground up. Thus, the name Keyshia Ka’oir was now born and a beauty empire had begun. The budding businesswoman was on a mission… a mission that she’d set out to complete.
In efforts to help women look and feel good while providing quality products at a reasonable price, she created vibrant makeup that catered to women of all shades. Consisting of an assortment of bright colored lipsticks, lacquers, eyeshadows–all offering great textures, and more, KA’OIR Cosmetics has become a powerhouse beauty source and extraordinaire for every woman in the world.
With her beauty brand, Keyshia has managed to reach women of all ages, utilizing her platform to show the importance of self-esteem and women empowerment. She’s even started her own fitness line, offering everything from waist trainers to slimming tea.
As if she wasn’t already a force to be reckoned with by herself, her newest title as the soon-to-be Mrs. Mane has definitely become the talk of town. Everyone knows that Gucci Mane and Keyshia Ka’oir are one of the entertainment’s most adored power couples.
It was upon him spotting her spread in an XXL Magazine in 2010 that Gucci Mane requested for the model to appear in one of his videos. At the time, Gucci already had a crush on her, but, eventually, the two began dating, shortly after.
Trouble for Keyshia began when she was juggling between pushing her career forward and keeping her relationship with the rapper alive. Despite all the bumps they were hitting, the hardest part came about in 2014 when the “Both” rapper went to prison for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
But, in spite of his situation, Gucci decided to leave Keyshia two million dollars before his departure. Taking the bad situation and making something good out of it, Keyshia did something that most wouldn’t even think to accomplish in her predicament.
Using the two million dollars that her boyfriend-turned-fiancé left her, Keyshia invested into KA’OIR. She earned back triple the amount that was given to her and more and returned back six million dollars to her the love of her life, once he was released from prison on May 26th, 2016.
On November 22th, 2016, during an Atlanta Hawks basketball game, Gucci decided to make it official, proposing to Keyshia in front of the whole crowd of fans, broadcasting the joyous occasion on one of the stadium’s big screens above. He presented his beautiful ride-or-die girlfriend with a 25 karat diamond ring, and, yes, she accepted.
Gucci Mane and Keyshia Ka’oir tied the knot on October 17th with a million dollar wedding extravaganza recorded for BET.
