BET Adds New Comedy Show To Roster, 50 Central
50 Cent is taking his comical antics to BET. The Power actor and rap mogul announced via Instagram that he’d be getting his very own late night sketch comedy show on the network, titled 50 Central.
Developed and executive produced by Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson, 50 Central is said to take classic shows like In Living Color a step further, serving as a platform for aspiring comedians and viral sensations to showcase their talent. Hosted by 50, himself, the BET-produced show will be a combination of everything from sketches and stand-up comedy to IG/Vine skits and experiments. We’ll even get to see some celebrity guest appearances, here and there.
“50 Central is a platform that allows us to get all of those hidden talents out in the opening. Expect the unexpected. It’s me having freedom. It’s a different type of comedy; it’s a little more edgier than the things you have seen in the past.” 50 says, expressing his excitement about the new TV venture.
