Rihanna Snags Role In Annette Amazon Drama

According to Variety, Rihanna will be starring in a new Amazon drama film, Annette, alongside Star Wars actor Adam Driver. Directed by Leos Carax and written by art rock duo Sparks, Annette tells the story of a widower who’s trying to care for his two-year-old daughter after the death of his wife. At this time, there are no specific details on Rihanna or Adam Driver’s characters, but we’re hoping that more details are released soon.
The “Love on the Brain” singer has already played in quite a few films over the course of her career. Her latest roles happen to be in the 2017 series Bates Motel and a science fiction film, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. She is also set to star in the long-awaited remake of Oceans Eleven, Oceans Eight, as Nine Ball–which will premiere in 2018.
No official date has been proclaimed for the release of Annette, but just know that it is, in fact, coming soon. Outside of her streak in film, things on the music scene are going extremely well for Rihanna. Her song “Love on the Brain” recently made her 22nd top five hit on Billboard Hot 100.

You go, Riri!
