Omarion Distance Single & Visual Helps Set Tone For Upcoming ‘Reasons’ Album

Omarion’s rise to fame has certainly been one to watch. Starting out as the baby-faced front man of boy band, B2K, and then matriculating to his own sound , Omarion is no stranger to the stage, and has no problem proving that he has staying power.

Gearing up for his latest release, Reasons, which follows 2014’s Sex Playlist, Omarion is debuting a fresh new sound, proving that there are ‘reasons’ to watch his career continue to blossom.  The latest single from Omarion Distance, is the newest off of the upcoming album. Like its predecessor “BDY on Me“, it does not disappoint.

The Omarion Distance single has a sexy dancehall vibe that will definitely guide us to the dance floor. The infectious baseline paired with Omarion’s smooth tenor vocals are a winning combination. “Distance” is preparing to be quite the summer hit with its carefree lyrics and addictive baseline. Almost reminiscent to his “Post To Be” single from a couple years ago.

With lyrics like:
“I need that poom-poom right now, ayy/
Got me in the open /
Like a drop top Chevy in the hood sittin’ low/
But I’m tryna put you in the Wraith /
So girl don’t get ghostin’ ”

“Distance” just may be the go-to anthem for Summer ’17. Omarion stays true to the international vibes of “Distance”, shooting the vibrant, colorful visuals for it and its predecessor in South Africa. The visual for Distance is adorned with lush greenery, African wildlife, of course, beautiful women.

In January, Omarion told Rap-Up that he shot three videos in South Africa.

“That was an amazing experience,” said O. “We actually shot three different videos over there. It was an amazing experience to be in a place… for the first time. You’re really connected with the experience.”

Omarion states that all the visuals have an interconnected message.

“This is not just for the C U L T U R E,” he tweeted. “This is for the human race. Look beyond & you’ll get the message. enjoy!”
