Nicki Minaj Claps Back At Remy Ma On Gucci Mane Collab?!?!

We should’ve known that Gucci Mane and Nicki Minaj was up to something when we saw them pictured together earlier this month. The two have reunited for a brand new song, “Make Love”. Released just a few hours ago, the five-minute collaboration is already causing a great stir on social media. While Mr. Guwop boasts about claiming his king throne and sold out shows, Minaj, however, gets a little shady, throwing a few shots out into the battlefield.

“King of the streets. And, when these suckas see me they should bow to my feet and kiss the ground underneath. I look down at the beef; that shit childish to me. Two hundred thousand a city and it’s been sold out for weeks.” Gucci Mane raps over the thrilling beat.

Minaj then comes in, setting the record straight for anyone who may have doubted just how savage the Queens MC could get. “I rep Queens, where they listen to a bunch of Nas. I’m a yes and these btches is a bunch a nahs. Tryna win a gun fight with a bunch of knives.” she raps. “Oh, you the queen of this here? One platinum plaque, album flopped, btch where? I took two bars off just to laugh. You see, silly rabbit, to be the queen of rap, you gotta sell records! You gotta get plaques!”

Though we’re not sure exactly who Minaj is firing shots at, social media assumes that they are directed towards Remy Ma. Recently, Remy was featured on Phresher’s “Wait A Minute” remix, leaving people to think that she was coming for The Pinkprint raptress.

“Will I smoke this btch? Yes. Probably fail my piss text. Get rid of those fake breasts and put a vest on this btch chest.” Later, she adds, “That ghostwriter ’bout to call her; that lifeline getting shorter.”

No names were stated in the song. Remy also discussed the matter on The Breakfast Club, alleging that she never takes subliminal shots in songs; she’s always direct with hers. However, Minaj’s ex, Safaree, did release a diss track towards Minaj and her rapper boyfriend, at the time, Meek Mill, called “Lifeline”, as referenced in the “Wait A Minute” song. Previously, he did also make claims that he wrote rhymes for Minaj, too.

So, it’s definitely feasible to think that Minaj’s recent verse on “Make Love” was in response to Remy Ma. Especially judging by some of the things she said about certified plaques and album flops. Remy Ma and Fat Joe’s 2016 hit, “All The Way Up”, was certified platinum. Though many awaited their collaborative album, Plata O Plomo, sales are said to be not the best of the best.

Gucci Mane is currently gearing up for his forthcoming tour, Trap God Tour. Minaj’s latest song with former The Jonas Brother member, Nick Jonas, “Bom Bidi Bom” is doing extremely well on the charts. The song is featured on the official soundtrack for the new Fifty Shades Darker film.
