Take A Look At The Other Side of Atlanta, Georgia

When you think about the state of Georgia, which city is the first place that comes to your mind? Of course, it is the capitol city, Atlanta. You can’t help but to instantly think about the music industry, large malls, and excellent night clubs whenever someone mentions A-town. Although these traits attract many outsiders to Atlanta, people are likely to miss out on everything else that Atlanta and the other cities surrounding the area might have to offer. Whether you want to go there for the nightlife, culture, or just have a good vacation with the family, there is always something offered in Atlanta.

For the people who really want to see if all the hype about Atlanta’s nightlife is true, you will not be disappointed. MJQ Concourse, which hails the title of “Atlanta’s Best Dance Club” and the hip Lava Lounge, which has top class DJ’s spinning everything from House music to Hip-Hop, are just two of the many great nightclubs and bars that Atlanta has to offer. If the whole club scene isn’t for you, but you still want to find something to do at night, then you might want to visit one of Atlanta’s great comedy clubs. Whether you’re going to the Laughing Skull Lounge (right), Uptown Comedy Corner, or Dad’s Garage Theater, you are guaranteed a good time, as well as a good laugh before the night is over. So whether you want the full nightclub experience or just want to relax and enjoy your drinks and music, from the bars and nightclubs, to the comedy clubs, it is certainly too easy to find something to do in Atlanta after dark.

If you are someone who wants to see the culture that Atlanta has to offer, the city has an abundance of festivals during different times of the year. Music Midtown is one of Atlanta’s largest music festivals and is only held once a year. After going on a six year hiatus that began in 2005, the festival came back bigger, better and more diverse in 2011. This year on the 21st and 22nd of September, you can expect to see big names such as T.I., Foo Fighters, Ludacris and many others performing. Be sure to schedule your next visit to Atlanta to make sure you can visit other festivals such as Atlanta Black Pride, Studiofest and Atlanta Celebrates Photography that are sure to grab your attention.

Lets say that you’re someone who just wants to have a vacation and you’re looking to see the more relaxed side of Atlanta. The Martin Luther King, Jr National Historic site and the Atlanta History center both offer a great look at Atlanta’s history. If you are with the family and want to entertain the kids, Zoo Atlanta, the Georgia Aquarium (left) and the children’s museum “Imagine It!” are perfect places for the young ones to not only have a great time, but also learn something.

If you just want to relax at during your visit, then Atlanta also offers top class resorts and lodges. The Sheraton Atlanta Perimeter North Hotel has everything to offer, including golfing, wildlife and nature, a fitness center and even an outdoor fireplace for more romantic settings.

Atlanta has so much to offer. You can go to a nightclubs and dance the night away, or you can laugh until it hurts at one of the comedy clubs. You can go check out the diverse culture of the festivals, or you can learn about the history of city through the museums. If you want to, you can just find a great resort or lodge and just relax for your whole stay. Just always remember that there is more to Atlanta than just malls and music.
