Time travel is always a fascinating concept, which is why it’s a popular theme in movies. Some would even say it’s quite overused, especially in comedies. Is time travel comedy a hindrance for this film? Let’s find out in our Hot Tub Time Machine movie review.
Hot Tub Time Machine is a well-scripted, comedic spring break movie. The storyline plays on time travel by using a hot tub time machine device to transport four people back to the 80s for a trip down memory lane. Three of the four revisit their lives as they were then, while the fourth tries to keep them from rewriting history.
The movie stars John Cusack, Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson, and Cusack’s geeky nephew played by Clark Duke. Over the years, writers of time travel comedy movies have gotten creative with the devices they use as evidenced by Adam Sandler’s Click, and this time, it’s a hot tub time machine device.
Hot Tub Time Machine spares no expense in the humor department as it uses a simple plot to create an excellent movie that is worthy of our attention.
