Hip-Hop Duo, Rapscallion Rascals Reflect The Essence of Hip-Hop with Emcee & DJ/Producer Bond

Budding Hip-Hop duo, Rapscallion Rascals are a breath of fresh air in the realm of Hip-Hop music.  The pair, consisting of emcee Jimbo fa show and DJ/producer JP Hardboiled hail from Chicago, but don’t necessarily represent the picturesque image of what the Chicago Hip-Hop scene is known for.  Nonetheless, the Rapscallion Rascals are as authentic as it gets.

Inspired by the likes of 2 pac, Eminem, Childish Gambino,Wu Tang Clan, Rakim and Kanye West, the Rapscallion Rascals have deep individual roots in Hip-Hop, but it wasn’t until a chance encounter led by a post on craigslist by JP looking for collaborating artists did the pair meet and join forces.  As fate would have it, the aggressive beats, aided by video game themes and well-intended sampling by JP Hardboiled were a perfect fit for the 10+ year rap veteran, Jimbo, with a candid storytelling ability matched with intense subject matter.  A 7x beat battle winner, and DJ Battle finalist from Chicago to San Antonio, TX, JP holds his own with the best beat makers and DJs alike.  A true asset to the music.

As a duo the Rapscallion Rascals released their debut EP, Rascals Revenge Volume 1.  The follow-up, Life After Games is set to be released in early 2017.   The project finds Jimbo in a dark, thoughtful place, which he is sure to share in the music. After losing his best friend and brother both to suicide in the last year, “he uses his writing as a release and an avenue to show others that no matter how much you might be hurting on the inside, you must persevere and deal with your emotions in any way possible.”

Next year will also find the duo releasing their first full length album, with more details coming at the top of the year.  In the mean time check out the buzz single, “I’m Sorry I Offended” ahead of the upcoming EP.
